Happy Sunday all! As many of you who are Lilly lovers may know, Monday (tomorrow!) at 8am EST is the first day of the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale. Anyone else excited? This year the After Party Sale is going on for 3 days, ending at midnight on Wednesday, August 30th. If you’re looking for more details and answers to your questions about the After Party Sale, check out Lilly Pulitzer’s After Party Sale informational page here.
In the spirit of the Lilly Pulitzer Sale starting tomorrow, I wanted to show you guys the gorgeous shift dress that I picked up back in March.
Dress: Lilly Pulitzer Ryder Shift in Indigo Exotic Escape (might come back for the After Party, or one size left here) ~ Shoes: Alfani, fall colors also available ~ Bangle: Alex & Ani ~ Lipstick: Too Faced Melted Chihuahua
This is the Lilly Pulitzer Ryder Shift dress in the print Indigo Exotic Escape from Lilly’s 2017 spring collection. Since this dress was from earlier this year, Lilly might bring it back for the sale so I wanted to give you all a little glimpse of it. As you can see from one of the pictures, I bought the shift for my college graduation in May. Since our graduation gowns were black, I wanted to wear something different than the usual white graduation dress.
This was actually my first Lilly dress ever (better late to the Lilly party than never, right? lol) and I have all good things to say about it. The dress ran true to size and fit really well. I was pleasantly surprised that the dress was a little longer than I thought length-wise. It hits just above my knee, and I’m glad because I was worried about it being too short based off of the pictures online. Plus, the slight structure to the shift makes it look like I have some curves!
The print is even more stunning in person, and the colors in the dress are just beautiful. The gold bead detailing along the neckline also really makes the dress. If you look at my graduation picture, you can see how much the colors in the dress popped against the black gown! I ended up getting a lot of compliments on it, so I guess that’s one of the perks of being a little original at graduation. 🙂
I’ve been working full-time for about a month now and have to commute to downtown Chicago in the morning tomorrow just as the After Party Sale is starting, so I’ll be logging on during my lunch break or later in the day. If you’re planning on shopping the After Party Sale online as soon as it starts on Monday, make sure you have everything updated in your Lilly account!
